What size are the prints?
We currently offer all prints in 8"x10" and many prints in 11"x14". We may expand on our sizing range in the future, so please let us know if that is something you'd like to see.
What type of paper do you use for the prints?
All of our prints are professionally printed on Fuji Lustre paper, providing vivid colors and bright whites. It's not advisable to place any print in a spot that receives frequent, direct sunlight as fading will occur. Avoiding high humidity areas is also advisable for longevity of the quality of the print.
Do you sign each print?
Yes, each print is signed on the front or back.
Do the prints come framed?
No. Our dimensional pieces are the only pieces we ship framed. Frames shown in our Art Prints section are for display only.
Is your ready-to-ship artwork handmade?
Yes. Every ready-to-ship piece is handmade, by Melissa, in Pittsburgh, using objects responsibly collected by she and Bailey. All natural elements have been cleaned and dried, with certain elements being varnished to make sure that they last and will offer years of enjoyment. Because every piece is lovingly handmade, no two pieces are the same. Each dimensional piece is framed prior to shipping.
Will your dimensional artwork last forever?
Forever might be a stretch, but we do everything we can to make sure you will get lots of life out of our dimensional pieces. Because we work with natural, organic elements, there's always the possibility of decay, though we do everything we can to prevent that from occurring, including using elements with solid physical integrity, being sure that all elements are well dried (for things like leaves and flowers, we employ a special drying process that strips moisture while preserving color and shape) and varnished when appropriate. Our elements are all mounted with an adhesive that absorbs shock so that minor bumps and jostles are generally forgiven.
How do I care for my new dimensional artwork to keep it looking great for years to come?
We do what we can on our end to provide you gorgeous artwork that will provide years of enjoyment, but there are definitely things you can do to keep your piece looking as nice as the day it arrived at your door. First, try to hang your dimensional piece in a spot that isn't exposed to direct sunlight, which will fade and discolor the elements. Secondly, do your best not to shake and bump the artwork. The adhesive we use does absorb shock, but it's best to avoid too much excitement when moving your piece to a new spot. Third, avoid touching the elements with your bare hands. The oils in your skin will transfer to the element and can cause discoloration and deterioration. Plus, many of the elements we include are pretty delicate, so touching them can cause tears and cracks to happen. Lastly, avoid hanging dimensional artwork in a space that is readily exposed to moisture (like a bathroom, for example). Occasionally, you may see small particles that have fallen off of the elements inside the frame; this is normal and to be expected. If this occurs, simply open the frame, remove the art, and gently shake the debris out before replacing the artwork and reassembling the frame.
How does online ordering work?
When you place an order for a print, it goes into our our weekly print queue. Every Wednesday, we place an order with our fabulous, speedy printer who gets them back to us in just a couple of days so that we can wrap them and ship them off to you.
Dimensional work is ready to roll, though, so that we wrap that up immediately and ship it to you within 1-4 days of purchase.
If you order a print and a dimensional piece, we will ship them together once your print arrives from our print vendor.
What types of payment do you accept?
All major credit cards are processed through Stripe.
Why do you charge sales tax?
If you are seeing a sales tax charge on your invoice, it's because you are our neighbor! HI! We are required to collect state sales tax (6%) for Pennsylvania residents and county sales tax (1%) for Allegheny County residents.
Shipping & returns
How much is shipping?
Within the US, we ship using USPS Priority Mail. For 8"x10" prints, shipping is $6.65.. For 4"x6" dimensional pieces, shipping is $13.15 and for 9"x9" dimensional pieces, shipping is $18.85.
Outside the US, we ship using USPS First Class International Mail for art prints and USPS Priority Mail for dimensional work. We charge a flat shipping fee of $23.33 USD for any size of art prints and $56.00 USD for 4x6 dimensional pieces and $75.00 USD for 9x9 dimensional pieces.
Do you charge for multiple items being shipped together?
Shipping will be based on your largest item. For example, if you order a print and a dimensional piece, you'll be charged for the shipping of the dimensional piece..
What if my order doesn't arrive after it has been shipped?
We hope this doesn't happen, but if it does, we will try to help as much as possible, though as an itty bitty small business we can't be held responsible for the loss of a purchase once it has shipped. Please let us know if your order doesn't arrive using our contact page or by emailing email@example.com.
When will my order arrive?
Art Prints: Printing generally takes 3-4 days to get to us, and we will ship them to you within 1-2 days of that. You can expect about a week to a week and a half turnaround from the time you order until you receive your print in the mail. We hope to get it to you sooner, but good things take time, right?
Ready-to-ship artwork will ship within 1-4 business days.
Which shipping carrier do you use?
We use USPS exclusively. It is the most economical choice. We know paying for shipping isn't fun, so we don't want you to pay more than you have to.
Do you offer shipping discounts?
Not on a continual basis, but it is possible that we will run a free shipping promo now and then.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We ship internationally using USPS First Class International Service for prints and USPS Priority Mail for dimensional work. PLEASE shoot us an email if you are purchasing 3 or more dimensional pieces as the shipping price will change (if you forget, we'll email you).
Do you offer rush shipping?
Not on art prints. For rush shipping on ready-to-ship items, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Note that there may be additional fees associated with rushing the order.
How are orders packaged?
We are mindful to package each and every order with love and care. Your order will arrive beautifully wrapped, perfect for gifting. Each print will be placed into an individual protective sleeve along with a piece of chipboard before being carefully wrapped and tucked into a rigid mailing envelope for a safe journey to your home.
For larger, ready-to-ship framed items, you can expect the same attention to detail. Each piece will be wrapped, nestled into bubble wrap and packaged snugly in a sturdy box stuffed appropriately with recyclable materials for added protection.
Do you offer gift wrapping and direct delivery?
Absolutely, and at no charge. Each order will arrive to you ready to be presented to someone you love (and maybe that's yourself). If you plan to ship an order directly to a loved one, please include that information in the notes area during checkout. I am happy to include a brief note on our cute gift cards, as well (just make sure to also include what you'd like to say when you checkout).
Do you offer order cancellations or returns?
If you have ordered a print, no order cancellations or returns will be accepted. Sorry!
If you ordered a ready-to-ship item, you may cancel your order within 24 hours of purchase. Please just email email@example.com to let me know you'd like to cancel. There is a $10 cancellation fee to cover the processing fees associated with your order. Returns once an item has shipped, however, are not accepted.
